Space Electronics offers several types of instruments for center of gravity measurement. KSR Series (Center of Gravity and Moment of Inertia) - KSR instruments provide the most accurate center of gravity measurement, and are recommended for determining the center of gravity of rockets and satellites. KSR instruments can be used for payloads weighing from a fraction of a pound to over 25,000 pounds. These instruments also measure moment of inertia (MOI) (This is our most popular product) WCG Series instruments (Weight and Center of Gravity) - WCG instruments measure both weight and center of gravity. They are recommended for determining the center of gravity of "black boxes" used in aircraft or satellites. These instruments do not measure moment of inertia. They have a lower accuracy than our KSR series and are not suited for the measurement of tall test objects. SE90168 Series (Cost Effective Weight and Center of Gravity) - SE90168 instruments are cost effective instruments that measure both weight and center of gravity of payloads weighing 2 to 125 lb with medium accuracy. SE8913 Series (Center of Gravity of small test parts) - SE8913 instruments can be used to measure the center of gravity of items weighing up to 33 pounds (15 kg). These inexpensive instruments can be used to measure projectiles. SE199 and SE300 (Weight and Center of Gravity of extremely small test parts) - SE199 and SE300 series instruments measure weight and center of gravity of objects weighing less than 500 g (1.1 lb). These instrument have extraordinary sensitivity and can detect unbalance moments as small as 0.01 g-mm. They are suited for the measurement of gyro rotors, computer disc drive heads, and small projectiles. MP Series instruments (Weight, Center of Gravity and Moment of Inertia) - MP instruments measure weight, center of gravity and moment of inertia. They have a lower accuracy than our KSR series and are not suited for the measurement of tall test objects. They are rugged instruments that are recommended as portable mass properties systems. MW Series (Moment Weight Scales) - MW
instruments measure moment due to offset CG of test part. The MW series is designed for the measurement
of turbine blades for jet engines. These instruments can measure moment weight to better than 0.02 oz-in
(0.0006 lb-in).
