MODELS SE199 AND SE300
Our models SE199 and SE300 are designed to measure weight and precisely locate the CG of very small test objects along a single axis (dual axis versions of these instruments are also available). They are particularly well suited for locating the axial position of the center of gravity of bullets and other small projectiles. With proper fixturing, the CG of hard drive heads, gyro rotors, small turbine buckets, and other small objects can also be accurately determined. The CG of a typical small caliber bullet can be determined within +/- .002 inches. These instruments use the active moment transducer concept developed by Space Electronics to achieve a sensitivity which is 100 times greater than usually possible with an instrument of this type.

Specifications
Models: SE199-01 and SE300-01 - Grid plate interface is designed to measure rectangular objects. Pins can be inserted in the grid at a variety of locations. A 1/4 inch wide Vee block is machined into the plate to support cylindrical objects up to 0.75 inch diameter (the SE199-02 or SE300-02 instrument should be selected if test items are always cylindrical). SE199-02 and SE300-02 - Vee block interface is designed to measure cylindrical objects such as small bullets or gyro rotors. Vee is 0.85" wide X 0.5" deep X 2" long. There is an adjustable end stop. A second Vee at right angles allows measurement of axial CG. SE199-03 and SE300-03 - Rotary table interface allows 2 axis measurements without re-fixturing. Test object can be dial-indicated to verify alignment. |
